Based in Houston, Texas, International Exports, Inc., distributes leading food brands exclusively to locations spanning the Middle East and Asia and ensures that product packaging and labeling are appropriate for specific markets. Among the quality products that International Exports, Inc., distributes are Russell Stover, Old El Paso, and Frito-Lay.

The latter company is most well-known for its Cheetos and Doritos brands of chips, with the latter having been launched as traditional, lightly-salted tortilla chips with a “buttery taste” in 1964. Initially limited to the Southern California market, Doritos were launched nationwide in 1966, and an iconic taco flavor was introduced in 1967. The nacho cheese flavor that is the current Doritos mainstay was launched in 1972 and quickly grew in popularity. The vintage taco flavor has not disappeared entirely, with a limited edition 2011 rerelease making the flavor available for contemporary consumers.

Today, Doritos span a variety of offerings that include flavors inspired by cuisines around the world. Recent offerings include Salsa Verde and Spicy Sweet Chili tortilla chips.v

International Exports, Inc., represents many North American food brands in markets around the world. Charitable work and good corporate citizenship are a part of the core philosophy of International Exports, Inc., and one organization that the company is proud to support is the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Unicef works in nearly 200 countries and territories to protect the rights of children. One major UNICEF effort is the fight for worldwide gender equality. Non-discrimination is at the core of the UNICEF mission, and gender-based discrimination faces children all around the world. UNICEF works to provide not only equal opportunities but equal outcomes for both genders. It also actively engages men and boys alike in the hopes of changing the way gender relations work in the areas in which it operates.

Some major UNICEF gender-related initiatives have included a one-year plan to move gender work to the main areas of UNICEF operations, a follow-up plan to take stock of this progress, and a three-year plan from 2010 to 2012 that sought to implement the lessons learned during the initial integration efforts into broader UNICEF initiatives. Gender relations work affects UNICEF leadership, programming, partnerships, and communications. The nonprofit also sponsors major events like the yearly International Day of the Girl.
